Call of Duty 7!

Rumor has it, ladies and gentlemen.

Rumor has it that when there is still 6 months left before the release of Modern Warfare 2, Activision no longer sleeps and is taking steps that clearly indicate that the new game in the series is already under development .

From reliable sources, it became known that Activision acquired licenses for the use of musical works from the times of the Vietnamese conflict, as well as Cuban, Soviet and African music of that time. It was mentioned that Treyarch will participate in the development. Indeed, Noah Heller - the head of Treyarch - is directly involved in the work on the project (while Infinity Ward is building on Modern Warfare 2). He also worked on Call of Duty: World at War, which is a bit depressing. If only the seventh part did not turn out the same as the fifth.

Heller recently said that, in fact, the CoD series covered all the most significant battles of the Second World War (Normandy, Lord, Normandy) , and therefore it was decided to leave the long-suffering military conflict and do something else:

“We’re showing up for the final battle of the Pacific. It is a very classic war. But we’re happy.

At the same time, it was noted that it was not yet finally decided:

“I don’t say that there’s a WWII Call of Duty game again.”

And the aforementioned musical directions can not fail to intrigue. If we are talking about African or Cuban music, can this mean the presence of secret US military operations in the 60s-70s? in Game? If so, then at the exit, we may well get Call of Duty: The Cold War, and not just a game about Vietnam or Southeast Africa.

Naturally, a request was sent to the Activision press service on this topic. And, of course, the answer was not received.
