It took almost three years for programmers of the antivirus company Panda Security to make a unique product of its kind - an antivirus on the distributed platform
Panda Cloud Antivirus (currently in beta). The client part is released only under Windows.

The uniqueness lies in the fact that Panda uses its own cloud-technology here, which it calls “collective intelligence” (Collective Intelligence). According to the developers, this allows them to respond to the emergence of new viruses "almost in real time." The heuristic engine collects all suspicious samples and instantly sends them to the "center" for analysis. Every day, “collective intelligence” collects about 50,000 samples from client machines. Thanks to this system, the identification of a new, previously unknown, infection occurs within 6 minutes (again, according to the developers). The function of the "collective mind" can be turned off in the settings.

The client part of the program "weighs" 18 MB and consumes 17 MB of RAM in the process. According to the developers, this is less than the average for ordinary antiviruses, but they tend to reduce it to 12 MB. However, judging by the
first test results , resource consumption is up to 40 MB, although the antivirus doesn’t slow down the system. The program has a minimalist design.
