Many of those who support The Pirate Bay, show in the direction of Google. Like, this is the same bloodhound on the web. For example, based on the Google Custom Search Engine,
you can create almost exactly the same torrent search engine . Some even hope that Google
will defend its “younger brother” in their common fight against copyright holders.
Maybe Google and TPB are really on the same side of the barricades, but it is clear that Google will not announce this openly yet. The other day we finally got Google’s
first official comment about the similarities with TPB. A representative of the Internet giant said that the main difference with Google is that it removes pirated content at the request of the copyright holder. Actually, the same argument was cited by the prosecution during the court hearings on the founders of the torrent tracker.
Well, formally it is. TPB owners really blatantly ignored requests to remove pirated content. But in reality, this means little, because the formal implementation of such requests is actually not able to stop the process of distributing pirated content on the Web. If you remove one link - soon there will be a hundred others.

In a strange way, it turns out that by denying its similarity to TPB, Google shows how similar they are (if the aforementioned formality is really the only difference).
