From the "laboratories" Google Labs rolled out the new service
What's Popular - the rating of actual content based on its popularity. Each user can vote for their favorite news, video or photo (as well as add a new URL). According to its logic, the service is similar to the well-known
Digg , which Google has never been able to buy.

Content ranking takes into account the activity of users and other Google services, including YouTube and Google Reader.

What's Popular can also be installed as a
gadget that 5,000 users have already done. In the comments, they note that the idea is good, but the service clearly lacks functionality.
