Finally, we waited for this event!
According to Pocket-lint , citing the words of one of the employees of Nvidia, the first netbooks based on the Nvidia Ion platform will be presented this June at
the Computex computer exhibition , held annually at the World Trade Center in Taipei, Taiwan.
According to the publication, netbooks based on Nvidia Ion will represent most of the leading manufacturers of computers, and these laptops will be available in July. There is no more concrete news at the moment, but probably in May we will learn much more about the specific models of netbooks of each manufacturer.
Let me remind you that the platform Nvidia Ion was introduced in December 2008. Its integrated video system GeForce 9400M is several times superior in performance to similar solutions from Intel. For example, a computer on the Nvidia Ion platform can work with HD video with a resolution of 1080p. In addition, it can run games that require support for DirectX 10.

The company is currently developing the second generation of the Ion platform, which will be presented in the fourth quarter of 2009. The Nvidia Ion 2 platform will support multiple processors. Among them, Intel chips from the Atom, Celeron, Pentium and Core 2 families. Also, Ion 2 based computers will be able to work with Via Nano processors.
