Russian Google announces gadget contest for iGoogle

Google Russia’s Russian office announces a competition for the best gadget for a personalized iGoogle page.

The iGoogle page is accessible to all users who own a google account. In addition to the traditional search line, it can accommodate various modules that display the latest news, weather, and other useful information.

Until June 27, everyone can send their gadget, developed on the basis of API, to the office of Google Russia. Every week, company representatives will publish a "gadget of the week." A few weeks after the start of the competition, all users will be able to test the modules submitted to the competition.

• Shompolov Igor Grigorievich - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation, Director of the Inter-University Center for the Education and Development of Talented Young People in the Field of Natural and Mathematical Sciences “Fiztech-Center” of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (GU)
• Tumkovsky Sergey Rostislavovich - expert, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor, academic secretary of MIEM, laureate of the prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology;
• Andrei Anatolyevich Chernousov - Associate Professor of the Department of Network Economics and World Information Resources, Head of the Department of Research Institute of MESI, Ph.D.
