27 years ago, the wife of American Dirk Pratt took their two-year-old daughter to her family in Ecuador. He was sure that for a while, but it turned out: forever. Soon he was told that his daughter had died from a mosquito bite (severe mosquitoes in Ecuador).
As it was in Latin America, this was the beginning of a drama. In fact, the girl did not die, but was brought up in the family of a grandmother. When she grew up, she was told that her dad was dead.
Every year, on her birthday, Dirk took out and looked at the most valuable photo he had: a laughing girl in the bathroom, and the remaining two-year-old for him.
