Bible, Old Testament, Judges 15: 4-8:
4 He went, caught three hundred foxes, tied them in two, tail to tail, and tied a torch to the tails of each pair.
5 Then he lit the torches and threw foxes into the Philistines' fields - he burned both his haystacks, and uncompressed bread, and vineyards, and oil-bearing trees.
6 - Who did this? - asked the Philistines.
They were answered:
“Samson, the son-in-law of Timna.” After all, he gave his wife to another - his friend!
The Philistines went and burned this woman with her father.
7 Samson said:
- I will not rest until I revenge you in full!
8 And he caused a terrible slaughter to the Philistines. And then he left and settled in a cave under the Etomskoy rock.
