Installing Google Desktop on 64-bit Vista

Versions of Google Desktop for 64-bit Windows are not. However, it is still possible to install it, as the official help section says: Advanced Options: Compatibility with 64-bit Windows . To do this, from the command line, perform the installation as follows:
GoogleDesktopSetup.exe / force
Google warns that not everything will work. Only the standard weather gadget does not work for me yet. Everything else behaves normally, although I have not really experienced the search and indexing myself.
Does anyone know if there are any pitfalls and disadvantages of this method of installation?
