AMD will release a 16-core chipset in 2011

AMD has announced its intention to release a 16-core AMD Interlagos server processor and 8-core Valencia, which will join the Opteron 6000 and Opteron 4000 line-up, respectively, and will be used in server platforms with two or four processors. Both chipsets will be released in 2011 in compliance with the 32-nanometer process technology.
