Eizo Nanao announced the release of widescreen office monitors with a built-in sensor for human presence in the workplace.

Using an infrared sensor, the monitor determines if there is a person in front of it or not. If the workplace is empty, the display automatically goes to sleep after 40 seconds. Thus, electricity is saved, and the management of the company receives an additional tool to fight truants. The sensor range is 120 centimeters.

So far, only two models have been announced:
')
20-inch FlexScan EV2023W-H with VA-matrix and a resolution of 1600x900;
23-inch FlexScan EV2303W-T with TN-matrix and a resolution of 1920x1080.

In sleep mode, the power consumption of monitors does not exceed 0.7 W, while in active mode it ranges from 18 W for the 20-inch and 25 W for the 23-inch models.

according to the arbitrator, new monitors are about 40% lighter than existing models. In the FlexScan EV2023W-H model, the FlexStand stand was used, which again, according to the manufacturer, provides a record height adjustment range - 225 mm. The angle of inclination can vary within 30 degrees, and the angle of rotation within 172 degrees, i.e. in fact, the monitor can be deployed in the opposite direction.
