Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe 2009: registration of applications for participation has begun
July 2-5, Grodno will host the 5th International Conference of Developers and Users of Free Software Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe (LVEE 2009). The event brings together the communication and recreation of specialists and enthusiasts in the field of free software, including the GNU / Linux platform, but not limited to it.
The organizer of LVEE 2009 is the Minsk Linux Users Group with the support of active members of the open source community from Grodno and Brest.
The languages recommended for participation in the conference are Russian, Belarusian and English.

Applications for participation are accepted until June 12, abstracts of reports - until May 24.
The conference format includes reports, workshops and round tables. At the disposal of the speakers conference room, projector, sound. By the beginning of the conference will be released a collection of theses. The topics of the reports include the development and maintenance of free software, the implementation and administration of solutions based on it, and the features of using free licenses. The conference covers a wide range of platforms - from workstations and servers to embedded systems and mobile devices.
Authors of reports, representatives of sponsors and the press are exempt from payment of the registration fee. Also, according to the voting results, the audience is awarded the prize for the best report.
