Perm motorists have launched a new social network " Ambush ", the participants of which can warn each other about the parking of DPS mobile posts, traffic jams, accidents and dangers using mobile devices or through the website.
The idea of ​​creating such a network appeared about a year ago, and in this form has no analogues. The project itself is federal, at the moment there are already about 20 cities in Russia, but in Perm and Izhevsk it began to work before everyone else. By the way, residents of any cities can register in the network.
“Ambush” is designed to help road users to avoid accidents and fines, traffic jams and road works, having warned the participant in advance about a road event. A motorist who is a registered user receives all this information using a PDA or cell phone, and he himself has the opportunity to share his observations. All events are distributed online almost instantly .

“Ambush” includes a site with great functionality and programs for a pocket computer and a cell phone. Registration and use of basic functions are free. “This is the main principle of the project,” explains Ivan Dolgov, director of the project, “he will remain so in the future, but additional paid services will be introduced.”
“Motorists are a ready-made social network. There are already known ways to communicate on the road - for example, blink lights. But now you can not blink headlights for 500 meters from danger, but warn the network participants about this for 5 kilometers, ”says Ivan.
In addition, “Ambush” allows participants to communicate with each other using quick messages, make appointments, see the location of friends on the map, and report on the need for help.
In the near future, it is planned to launch a rating system that will allow users themselves, among other things, to control the accuracy of the information provided.
