iPhoneDevCampUA as a Helptimer

On July 18, the first, but super barcamp from the iPhone community of developers was held in Kiev. Although in the announcement the event was called a minibarcamp, but the topic is very interesting and gathered almost half a thousand pre-registrations and 350+ real visitors. Tackle the final summary report of the event.

The event was divided into 3 streams, so the user had to choose. I did not have to think long; There were a limited number of comfortable seats in the front rows, and the audience could not accommodate everyone - the organizers did not expect such an interest in the topic.

The majority of visitors did not have much experience in developing for the iPhone platform, therefore, registration issues in the iPhone Developer Program and the optimal schemes for withdrawing money earned. Sleds have been cooking since summer;)

During the whole event a whole team of receptionists worked for the benefit of the visitors. On the tables there were always snacks and in the coolers there was cold and hot water. Coffee / tea cookies attached. At check-in, you could order lunch, which was delivered directly to the place.

I practically did not attend the reports, because organized HelpTeam and ran like a mad cat. Impressions of what was heard can be found on the links below.

At the end of the reports followed afterparty in the near Dockers Pub. Speakers and organizers mingled with visitors and continued a conversation over a glass of beer. I was able to catch my breath and chat with the people. For a long time I did not have enough and tired went home.

For the first time I took part in a similar event as a co-organizer. Now I know firsthand what efforts such initiatives are given to the organizers. All great lads. There were many guilty in this cool event, which is good news.
