Official websites of manufacturers of household appliances and electronics :: 1 year on the road
A year ago, the project “Official websites of manufacturers of household appliances and electronics” ( http://habrahabr.ru/blogs/ecommerce/23291/ ) was announced. Today, the project is exactly one year old and I decided to sum up the interim results.
During this time, the number of web addresses of manufacturers of household appliances and electronics and their brands has increased significantly. At the moment there are more than 1000 of them, and many of them were added by the users themselves. Yes, for the time being only a part of manufacturers is covered, but, I think, still ahead. The section of domestic companies and brands has significantly expanded (there are about a dozen manufacturers of domestic stoves and refrigerators, I heard about many brands the first time I added them to the site).
During this period, the number of visitors increased significantly. This means that the project is really useful and was not created in vain.

Over the past year, the site managed to participate in the WebHiTech technology competition, although it was not possible to take prizes.
By the way, in the course of work such a problem was revealed. A month ago, I checked the websites of manufacturers present on companyinfo.ru for their availability. It turned out that 5% of sites (in quantitative terms, about 50 pieces) were for one reason or another not available to users. Domains in the ru, com, kr, jp, co.uk zones suffer more (ru and com zones are the leaders in this list). Many sites turned out to be in the parking lot, some were degraded, some were in the process of reconstruction, some companies did not exist at all.
It would seem that scoring sites and you can not check them for several years. But no, even such information as web addresses is very quickly becoming outdated and needs to be constantly monitored. In general, not everything is as simple as we would like.
I hope that the site brings effective assistance in facilitating the search for the right manufacturing companies and their brands.
