France opens for public access UFO archive file

According to the BBC , the French national space agency made its UFO sightings documents publicly available by posting them on a special website.

So many people have already tried to view these documents, that the site could not bear the load and is not working at the moment.

France is the first country to fully disclose all its documents related to UFOs. Thanks to a small group of researchers from the space agency, which calls itself the "Agency for the Study of Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena", the French will be able to access approximately 10,000 UFO documents, including photographs, police reports and videotapes that have been sent by eyewitnesses.

The group offers its own explanations for some UFO sightings — for example, when about a thousand people watched flickering lights in the sky on November night 17 years ago, the researchers were able to prove that it was a fragment of a rocket falling through Earth’s atmosphere.

But, according to the group, only about 9% of all UFO sightings were fully explained.

Actually, the archive address is: http://www.cnes-geipan.fr/geipan/ . The site is really not working now. Let's hope that soon the hype will subside a bit, and we can see for ourselves that we are not alone in the universe.
