Microsoft decided to reorganize

Microsoft has announced that from now on, Live Search is no longer a member of a large “family” called Windows Live. The renegade will be managed by Satya Nadella, now former vice president of development at Microsoft Business Solutions.

True, the new division Live Search will not become independent: it will be attached to Microsoft adCenter.

Thus, Microsoft is trying to improve its search and try to get even closer to runaway rivals - Google and Yahoo.
