"The right driver." Project Diary. Initial promotion

And the project "The correct driver " is running. How to tell everyone that he is? I tried to write an article here on Habré. This was my first experience and first publication. Neither karma, nor “yet-something-there” was there.
The result exceeded my expectations. My post zaplyusovali, I went to the main page and threw people on the site. As a result, there are more than 3000 unique users in Google analytics on the first day, about two thousand the next and further down, up to 500 per day. At the same time, most visitors did not leave immediately from the site. On average, they read about 6-7 pages per session in 5-6 minutes. I “will not say for all of Odessa”, but for Belarus this is a very decent result.

Farther. Starting from the second day, statistics showed that people follow direct links. This is probably because ICQ, mail or even there than people began to talk to each other about the resource.
I liked even more that there was practically no one indifferent - “feedback” was thrown down. During the first week I received more than 500 messages with descriptions of situations, questions and so on. I realized that, despite the minimum content, the site earned. My second post on Habré gave slightly less unique visitors, but quite comparable with the previous one.
The second “promotion” part consisted of the publication of news about the opening of the project on the Belarusian mega-portal tut.by. Result: 6000 unique in two days.
I will not hide the “monetization” of the project - one of my main tasks. Today I already have the first commercial advertiser. Thanks to him, the development costs are completely (!) Covered + I went to the "plus" :). Plus miserable, but the fact that in less than a month I launched the project and beat back the development costs makes me very happy.
Total. Resource running. It is useful, convenient and understandable. There are small “shoals”, I know about them and their decision is in the plans. The content is decent, scandalous and interesting. People talk about the project to each other, many thank for the project and it is a very pleasant fact! The site is visited, albeit not enough, but there is a positive dynamic. For the first two (!) Weeks more than 15 thousand people came to the site and they read under 100 thousand pages. There is an “indirect profit” - the number of requests for development to my office has significantly increased.
To date, I adjusted the promotion plans, came up with a number of new chips for the project. I will work myself wondering what will come of it :)
