Apple is developing a portable device that will occupy a niche between the iPhone / iPod touch and the MacBook!

The Wall Street Journal , citing its own sources, confirms that Apple is developing a portable device that occupies an intermediate link between the iPhone / iPod touch and MacBook laptops.
According to many observers, the company is working to create a device with a 10-inch display, like the popular models of netbooks, however, unlike them, using as an input device not a keyboard, but a touchscreen with multitouch support. Earlier, Apple, through its executives, has repeatedly expressed skepticism about classic netbooks: being insufficiently convenient and functional to use as an alternative to traditional laptops, netbooks lose in portability to the iPhone / iPod touch, which can easily cope with most “mobile” tasks.
