Laser sound visualization
While playing with my cat with a laser pointer, I came up with such a thing:
We take any laser pointer, and fasten it to any motor. I took the cooler from the old processor. On the pointer, I pulled the hair tie, so that the button was constantly pressed.
And now, the pointer spinning on the little motor is directed to the speaker, to which the mirror is attached. I used a piece of dvd disk as a mirror.
Here's what I got (you can immediately scroll through up to 3/4 videos):

Different tracks look very different. The same picture depends on the diameter and speed of rotation, the mass of the mirror and the power of the speaker.
Unfortunately, the video did not manage to reflect all the mystery and dynamism of the resulting patterns, so it's better to try it yourself, in reality it is very beautiful!
UPD: Just found a track that is more beautifully visualized. I rented a webcam built into the laptop, so it’s badly framed, but still:
