Robophilia as sexual orientation

In many fantastic works there are robots, so now it is impossible to imagine the future without humanoid robots. Why would a robot have two arms, two legs, a head? Why should a mechanical device be indistinguishable from a person, but not a person? The answer is simple and obvious, and has been given many times in fairly well-known films and books.

If a robot programmed to love and be loved is much more beautiful and attractive than people, then a situation is possible when some person would prefer to be with the robot rather than with other people. This person will live with this robot, talk and even sleep with him if this is provided for by the construction, not paying attention to the people around him.

And what if we assume the impending prevalence of this phenomenon? That a human society, not prohibiting sexual relations with robots, will face new causes of joy and spiritual suffering.

Will the time come when the public will discuss robophilia or propaganda of robophobia? This interesting situation was shown first in the manga (Japanese comics), and then in the form of an anime series, shown a couple of years ago in Russia.

A year ago, I commented on this series, drawing attention to this particular social problem. Recently I discovered a comment on my comment in the author’s column of a journal.
