SUP: "We also do not quite understand what is happening there"

According to the agency interlocutor, failures occurred in the data center of the American company Six Apart, which owns LiveJournal. However, he noted that he does not yet have accurate information about the causes of the failure.

“We also do not quite understand what is happening there,” said Danilov.

In turn, the marketing director of the Soup company, Ivan Zassoursky, told RIA Novosti that the day before on the main page of the LiveJournal was posted information about the planned work on setting up servers. Zasursky did not rule out that this was what led to the suspension of the service.

At the same time, the news section of the Six Apart company, hosted in LiveJournal (this section is one of the functioning ones), contains an entry dated November 3. In it - a warning about the conduct of "repair work on one of the two power sources" from 22.00 to midnight of the same day.

“During the behavior of these jobs, the performance of LiveJournal may deteriorate,” the site says.

A spokeswoman for Six Apart, a San Francisco-based company, told RIA Novosti by telephone that the reasons for the failures are now being investigated. Now in San Francisco earlier in the morning.

Telephones in the European and Japanese offices of the company are not responding.
