Dead pixel in Google Earth

Art comes in many forms. Dutch artist Helmut Smits , perhaps outraged by a broken pixel on his monitor, decided to make a broken pixel in the real world.

Using Google Earth as his guide, Smiths calculated that one pixel, when viewed from a height of 1 km above the ground, would occupy 6,724 square centimeters. So he burned a piece of land 82 x 82 cm near his Rotterdam studio.

Despite the work, and the fact that it is designed for viewing in Google Earth, now you can’t see the result, because satellite update information will take several years. Hopefully, Smits will not abandon his idea, and a piece of land will not be overgrown with grass again.
