Google will stop indexing search results

Additions have been made to Google’s webmaster guidelines regarding the indexing of internal search results on websites and similar automatically generated pages.

Now, if the site has a search form, it is recommended to close the search results from indexing using robots.txt, since these pages do not carry a semantic load.


- In my opinion, a very correct decision - such results only clog up the issue. Still, Yandex would take an example from them, otherwise it suffers from such garbage output from search results or, even worse, automatically generated meaningless pages.
