Venture company Softline Venture Partners with the support of Softline IT Academy announced the first in Russia competition of ideas in the field of software development and Internet applications among young people Dev Generation 2009 . The winner will receive from Softline Venture Partners (SVP) an investment in the implementation of his project in the amount of $ 100,000. The unique project ideas (as well as startups at the prototype stage) in the field of developing software products and Internet applications are accepted to the competition, without limiting the scope. Students, graduate students, and development teams with at least one undergraduate or graduate student from Russia, the CIS, or the Baltic states are invited to participate.

The competition will be held in three stages: from April 6 to May 19, 2009, applications from participants will be accepted, from May 20 to 27, the jury will evaluate the submitted ideas and select the winners, on May 29, the winners will be awarded at the 2009 Days of Small and Medium Business "(Moscow," VVC ").
In addition to the main prize, there are gifts from SVP partners in the competition and sponsors: Microsoft , Adobe , Embarcadero Technologies , and the Investment and Technology Alliance ( IT Alliance ). The authors of the three IT projects selected by the jury of the Alliance will help prepare for communication with venture investors, these projects will be presented at the presentation session of the Investment and Technology Alliance. Microsoft will provide the best-in-house development team with the opportunity to participate in the unique Start In Garage software for entrepreneurship. Embarcadero Technologies will give the author of one of the projects submitted for the competition a set of products for developers Embarcadero All-Access Silver.
