According to statistics, most requests to Google for the word “usability” come from India, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and Hong Kong. Russia is not listed.

This list largely coincides with the list of countries leading in software development. It turns out that developers from India are interested in usability. I wonder why?

Apparently, the point is that earlier in IT there was a pursuit for the performance of hardware, then for the functionality of software. Now the competition has shifted to the area of user qualities - usability.

Voting began this year (it will end in April) under the new ISO standard - the International Organization for Standardization. Previously, the standard was called user centred design, and now - human centred design. Previously, he wore a recommendation, now has become mandatory.
