Java standards support for Google App Engine

The first look at the dock is very good - working with various services provided by GAE is carried out through standard Java API. (I was just afraid that if Java appears in GAE, then all the work will be done through Google-specific APIs):

• Working with Google Datastore via JPA (this makes it easy to transfer existing business logic to GAE)
• Work with App Engine Memcache via JCache (JSR 107)
• Work with URL Fetch via java.net.URLConnection
• Work with mail through JavaMail
