Google increases its share of the US search market
The most popular search engine in the world, Google , has shown a striking increase in its share of the American search market. This was announced on Wednesday by comScore Networks, which measures the activity of Internet users.
Google’s share of the Internet search market grew from 47.5% in January to 48.1% in February. It should be noted that from December to January the increase was not so large - only 0.2% (from 47.3% to the already mentioned 47.5%).
Over the past two years, Google’s popularity has only increased. So, according to comScore Networks, in January 2005, Google’s market share was 35.1% ( Yahoo had 31.8%). In January 2006, the share of Google was already 41.4%.

In February of this year, Yahoo’s market share remained at the level of January - 28.1%, while the share of Microsoft search engine over the last month fell by 0.1% - from 10.6% in January to 10.5% in February.
