Belarusian star twitter signed one million contract

33-year-old Belarusian Gary (Gennady) Vaynerchuk has long been living in New Jersey, where he has a small wine shop. At some point, the guy had an idea: to organize a video blog on the Internet, where he would talk about new brands of wines every day. Without thinking twice, he launched the Wine Library TV , and the latest issues of "personal television" began to actively promote via Facebook and Twitter. The popularity of the “TV channel” began to grow by leaps and bounds: at the moment its audience is 80,000 viewers, and on Twitter more than 160,000 people follow the words of the Belarusian!

This phenomenon has attracted the attention of publishers. The other day, Gennady signed a contract for several million dollars with the publishing house HarperStudio, thanks to which he got into the pages of the Wall Street Journal .

They say this is the first time that an unverified author gets a contract for several million dollars. It is obvious that book publishers are not buying his work, but that huge army of spectators, which follows Weinerchuk and is automatically potential buyers of future books. Thanks to twitter, Belarusian will almost certainly become a millionaire.

Interestingly, under a contract with the publisher Vaynerchuk will receive 50% of the profits from the sale of the book. That is, it is not even a standard author's contract, but a kind of business cooperation, as in business.
