Let's help pensioners save the brain in old age!
Not habrovchanam talk about progress and the growing role of computers in the lives of even ordinary people. For a large enough layer of the population, not even working in IT, computer knowledge is an indisputable advantage and convenience, and sometimes a necessity. However, not all social groups of citizens have the opportunity to keep up with progress. I will mention one of them - pensioners, veterans, blockade of St. Petersburg.
Since the beginning of March, I have been taking part in the social project “Grandmother Online” . The goal of the project is to teach pensioners the basics of working on a computer, and after training, give everyone a free home computer. The project is social, so funding was planned state (municipal). However, as usual, municipalities have no money, although in words the importance of this project is understood and supported by all. But despite this, at the end of March, the first class was opened on Nevsky, 104, the first group of “students” had already started learning :) It is planned to open such classes in each administrative district of St. Petersburg, and there are rooms for this, but - no computers. For the first class computers were assembled from parts donated by different kind people. Financing will not happen when sponsorship in our time of crisis is difficult, but the project cannot be stopped, because it will be difficult to start this flywheel again.
In this regard, I appeal to all St. Petersburg habrovans asking if you have any unnecessary computer parts at home, and even more so at work, the project will gladly accept them as a gift for building computers and training and distributing them to pensioners. Questions and suggestions are waiting in the comments. If there are requests, I will publish both phones and e-mails for communication.
