The number of video streams on the Internet increased by 38.8%

Internet users liked video streams: in 2006, their number (streams, of course) increased by 38.8% to nearly 25 billion. This was reported by research company AccuStream iMedia Research, which collected information from entertainment and media sites, including as free , and subscription (i.e. paid) services.

The most active providers of video content were (despite a decrease in interest in them) music sites - they accounted for 22% of the total number of streams.
