VoIP will not be taxed

The draft law on taxing VoIP service providers, proposed last year by the US FCC, was defeated.

The Federal Court of Appeal ruled that it says that VoIP services are not subject to state regulation. For many companies involved in the provision of voice Internet services, it has become salutary: interest in VoIP could easily have declined due to higher prices.

It is possible that the authorities will make a new attempt to introduce a tax on VoIP, since this service is increasingly replacing traditional telephony.
