Steam Cooler for Hot Electronics

Celsia Technologies logo Celsia Technologies , located in an office with a picturesque view of the beaches of Miami Beach, is not afraid to declare its leadership in the design and implementation of cooling systems for elements of modern electronics of the new generation. It is the patented technology of manufacturing radiators that perform their function much more efficiently than the copper giants, who are now forced to settle in each more or less powerful computer, to push the monsters like Zalman and Thermaltake.

NanoSpreader Plates

The Celsia NanoSpreader heat removal device is a thin (no more than 1 mm) plate made of copper, aluminum or graphite, consisting of a body and cells that fill it with microscopic chambers and channels in which water is circulated and vapor formed during its heating.

The simplified scheme of the device, shown in the figure below, is not remarkable: a significant part of the heater energy goes into simple steam generation - this principle underlies all water cooling systems. But the whole "salt" of technology lies in the special form of the labyrinth of channels through which flows of liquid and vapor flow, transferring heat from one heated side of the plate to the other, which scatters it into the surrounding space. In addition, heat is transferred between the cells along the plate, from warmer to colder areas.

The scheme of the NanoSpreader

It should be noted that the rather small dimensions of the NanoSpreader cells make it possible to make plates of almost any shape from one large sheet and then bend them at any angles. This makes it possible to cool the surface of a rather complex shape. If necessary, the plate can be supplemented with conventional grille and fans.

LED cooling system For example, the battery shown in the picture on the left of the heat receiver, which supplies energy to the NanoSpreader plates, which then transfer it to the radiator grille, is used to cool high-power LEDs and is already in great demand in the market. Increasing production volumes allow the company to gradually reduce the cost of production, bringing it in this parameter to traditional metal coolers.

Celsia has already opened offices in Silicon Valley, London and Seoul. She managed to recruit a well-known engineer who in the past had worked on cooling problems at NASA and Samsung, all of her designs are completely original and patented in many countries, including Russia. The interest of investors and customers is growing, the company gets one after one awards of various technology exhibitions and one can say that it is almost inevitably waiting for a big success.
