iPod touch 2g + moto s605 + iphone OS 3 beta = a2dp in pictures

Good day. In general, it is no longer a secret that the new version of the firmware for the iPod touch will support wireless stereo headphones. So in general, I decided to download the beta and buy headphones to check how it actually works.

And so begin. We are looking for firmware in your favorite search engine. Turning off the Internet on the computer (or blocking the Internet for itunes), launch itunes, press the firmware recovery button when the cipher is pressed, and select the file with the firmware. After the firmware, itunes will offer to restore from a copy, but this is NOT recommended to do.
So, in the settings we see a new item

Going to it we see a list of our headphones. When you turn on bt, an icon appears in the upper right corner. Connect the headset

By the way, there is nothing interesting about the headset on the headset - there is only a point to forget the headset :(

Next, go to the player itself and see the new icon.

clicking on it selects the audio source (by the way, as we see, it is not yet localized)

similar icons appear when you double click on the home button and in locked form

Field tests showed that the player and headphones live on batteries for about 5 hours. A day is not enough, but you can live.
Now about the annoying - control from the headset does not work. I tried 7 headsets in the store - it didn’t work at all :(. Moto s605 took it because you could put any headphones, although I liked the Nokia hs-21 sound (like this model) more. But the use of the koss plug headphones corrected this defect. As a nice bonus, there is an FM radio in the headset.
As a bonus - a couple of screenshots with copy-paste and search.

Thanks to forum.ipod-touch-max.ru for some useful tips with firmware.
