Windows Vista took 30% of the market, reports StatCounter. For this, it took about 2 years. A large share is occupied by Windows XP - 58%, but this share is steadily falling. It is also noted that most WinXP users switch to MacOS, and not to Vista. Over the past two months, the share of MacOS has grown from 6.6% to 8.3%. Linux now takes about 0.5%.
Windows 7 may come out in September. As far as we know, this OS is waiting for a warm reception in the corporate sector and on the part of netbook manufacturers.
