Player usability in iphone

Those who use the iPhone not only as a phone, but also as a player, for sure, experience inconvenience when controlling the player. The thing is that the menu, designed to quickly control the player from any location, does not allow us to rewind tracks in the usual way by dragging the ball over the tape. Of course, someone will say that you can hold down the rewind key and wait, but is it convenient? When you record a lot of new music on the player, you want to be able to quickly move to the middle of the track to see if you should listen to it at all.
But in the shortcut menu there is a volume control, which is a duplicate of the physical keys on the left side of the phone. So why would the manufacturers of this unit not once again think about the convenience of working with the player and not replace the sound adjustment tape with the track playback tape?
