Fallout 3 won the 'Best Game of the Year '09 award

On Wednesday night in San Francisco, the Game Developers Conference summed up the ninth annual Game Developers Choice award. The main prize, as well as the prize for the best screenplay, went to Fallout 3. In this nomination it went around:
- Fable II (Lionhead Studios)
- LittleBigPlanet (Media Molecule)
- Left 4 Dead (Valve Software)
- Grand Theft Auto IV (Rockstar North)

But the number of awards was the first game for PS3 LittleBigPlanet. She won in four nominations: best debut, best game design, best technologies and best innovations.
Also distinguished: World of Goo (best downloadable game), new Prince of Persia (best visual effects), God of War: Chains of Olympus (best portable game), DeadSpace (best sound effects.)
A few more awards were given to specific people. I'm afraid to distort the meaning, so I will not translate the names of the awards. Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima received Lifetime Achievement Award, Harmonix co-founders (Guitar Hero and Rock Band games) Alex Rigopoulos and Eren Egozy received Pioneer Award, video game composer Tommy Tallarico received Ambassador Award.
Audience Award, and according to their Independent Games Festival Grand Prize received a kind of game Blueberry Garden .
PS from myself I will add that with the award of the main prize I somehow do not really agree, in my opinion GTA 4 (by the way, she did not receive a single award) more deserves it.
UPD Really wanted to be separately pleased and to thank the developers of World of Goo - a super game, a wonderful implementation. It's great that such things are not ignored among commercial projects of the scale of Fallout and GTA.
