Ten contenders for the best PC design and a million dollars
In September last year, Intel announced a competition for the best design of a personal computer, promising the winner a million dollar prize. The other day, ten of the best PC models were selected, which reached the semifinal.
Under the terms of the competition, each of the submitted computers must have a volume of less than 12 liters and run on an Intel Core2 Duo processor running Windows XP Media Center Edition or Vista.
Seven out of ten applicants agreed to put their creations to the public - they have a chance to win the audience award. Voting is open on the contest website, and each model can be viewed on video.
Experts consider BICOM as a favorite, which is represented in the competition by three models of different form factors: HMS7 , HMS8 and HMS1 .

Other applicants: Magic Box from ECS Elitegroup, HFX micro from mCubed, Decomatic 12b from SlipperySkip Computers and Aspire L320 from Acer.
