Fujitsu demonstrated a prototype of a device based on electronic paper technology

Fujitsu has demonstrated its own prototype device based on electronic paper technology. The diagonal of the screen of the new prototype is equal to 8-inches with a resolution of 640x480 pixels. Unlike other similar devices, the display here is color, it is capable of displaying static images, as well as any textual information.

According to the developers, the prototype requires a minimum amount of energy, which is why it has a very thin and light body, in which there is no need to install a capacious battery. Control is carried out with just a few keys and a navigation joystick. It is also reported that this prototype is equipped with an integrated RFID chip. On the beginning of the mass production of new items is not talking.
