Do I open public access to the WiFi access point?

It so happened that I have a 100 Mbps Internet channel in my home, without any shape-pieces and with unlimited traffic. Since I don’t feel sorry for traffic, the access point (or rather, an old laptop :) distributed it to the left and to the right without any restrictions.
Some of the neighbors used it from time to time, but I was pleased that someone felt good about it :)
But then a strange comrade appeared - first trying to pick up a password for ssh, and then began to swing around a day in large numbers, squandering the channel. KulHatzker, in general. A couple of times he blocked his mac - his friend changed after. Then I put a simple WEP password - well, I think the person will understand, I will return it back.
But no - in a couple of days he “broke” him (we will not discuss the non- security of WEP) and continued to pump the bang something.
Since it wasn’t part of my plans to replace a home provider person, I had to pick up hostapd today, and encrypt WPA2.
A comrade was left out of work, but a few people still, some of whom seemed to be just sitting in “classmates” and still with something easy left without a free Internet.

It seems to me that such a comrade is driven by the desire to deceive others, saying that if a person does not know what to turn on, then he is a sucker and he can be shod.
In general - do you support the idea of distributing your Internet to the suffering? :)
I now see only a work round — strongly shaping traffic from “unfamiliar” addresses.

UPDATE
It's funny, if at first everyone supported the idea, now, having apparently read the “tail” of the topic, they twist a finger at their heads and say, they say, “if you want problems, give it away and give it to you”.
