Gnome 2.26 and Debian

One of the Gnome developers, Frederic Peters, shared information on his blog about incorporating the latest version of the popular Gnome user environment into the Debian distribution. According to it, the packages will soon fall into the Experimental branch, and version 2.26.1 will be included in the Unstable branch.
In addition, Frederick provided a script to track the appearance status of Gnome 2.26 in the Debian repository, as well as to check the relevance of the packages.
