Technology market has passed over a billion

The income of the ICT sector in 2006, according to preliminary data, grew by 20% to 1 trillion 162 billion rubles. This was announced by the Minister of Information Technology and Communications Leonid Reiman, speaking at an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Also, according to Reiman, over the past year, the Russian information technology sector has developed into an independent industry, and the final consumer began to play the same significant role on the market as large corporate customers.

The growth of income is largely due to the attraction of domestic and foreign investment in the development of communications.
