The companies involved in the provision of Internet TV services (IPTV) have finally decided to unite their efforts and create a single standard of network television broadcasting in order not to harass unfortunate users.
Under the shadow of the Open IPTV Forum, Ericsson, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Siemens, Sony AT & T and France Telecom have joined together - in short, all the “cool” and venerable. Everyone who has a head on their shoulders and some ideas are invited to participate in the development of the standard. Those who choose the rhythm of activity for themselves are asked not to worry: the coalition organizers are waiting for the first results by September, and the beta version of certification should appear by the end of the year.
