Exhibition of the history of electronic games

In the National Museum of the Game (Strong National Museum of Play), in New York City, a new exhibition-meeting called the National Center for the History of Electronic Games has opened.

According to the organizers of the event, this is “the only collection created exclusively for studying and understanding the nature of the game.” That's it. Everything is serious.

The number of exhibits presented at the exhibition exceeds 15 thousand. These include games, hardware, as well as all sorts of advertising booklets and posters, drawings and sketches. There was a place of documentation: business analyst, technical specifications, etc.

Of course, the most interesting look at the "iron" part. In this regard, the National Center for the History of Electronic Games represents almost all game consoles (since 1972 of release), pocket consoles and slot machines.

And that's how I see, just like in South Park: “the Wii prefix on the stand behind the glass case”.

By the way, it's a pity, but the exhibition is “national”. Those. exhibits are exclusively made in USA. But it would be interesting to look at "Well, wait a minute," and similar gaming gadgets, as well as old slot machines, which now you can’t find in new entertainment centers ...
