Meeting - project news.

Hello to everyone who knows about the Meeting , and to those who read about us for the first time :)

Here I talked about the project, but now I want to talk about the changes that have taken place in 3 weeks of hard work.

Briefly recall the project:

A meeting is a service that answers friends to three eternal questions: Where are you? What are you doing? What are your plans?
The core of the service is a mobile phone application with which you can see where your friends are and what they are doing, and share this information about yourself at once with everyone.
The application works on 170 phone models.


So, the main changes affected the project web part:

• There was a general tape (tab "All"), which can be read by all registered users of the Meeting. If you update the status with a check mark "Seen by all", it will appear in the general tape. And everything is the same: your status can be read only by those you have added as a friend, your places are visible only to your friends.
• Twitter integration! You can configure the translation of the statuses visible to all in Tiwtter in the Translations tab in Settings.
• Improved interface. The input field “moved” to the central part, made clear tabs and buttons. Hopefully now the navigation has become more pronounced.
• Improved friend search: now when entering a search page, the Meeting offers you people based on who your friends are still friends with.
• The server part has been optimized, this time the Habroeffect should be completed without any special problems :)

As for the mobile application:

• Optimized work with the card and phone memory. Now the map is loading faster, it eats less traffic, it is convenient to “zoom”
• Made caching avatars, and this again means less traffic.
• Who did not remember the login-password - try, now it should work. If anything - write to us.
• Fixed a bunch of minor bugs
• In the coming days, a version with a common ribbon will be released in a mobile application.

As for the expansion of supported applications, we are now actively working on a version for the iPhone, on porting the application for a larger number of mobile phones, we will work in the coming weeks.
