Bubuki.ru: How much is your laptop worth?

Almost 3 months ago we wrote about the project bubuki.ru in Habré . Since then, more than 1,200 laptops have been posted on our site. And every day there are 20 fresh ads. This dataset helped us solve a very important task - to help the user determine the market value of his laptop. Now we have a “super-mega-intelligent” laptop cost calculator .

The algorithm turned out quite complicated. The main characteristics affecting the cost, geo-referencing and even the brand are taken into account. All this is calculated in several iterations with successive approximation. At the output, the calculator displays not only the final price, but also indicates the accuracy with which it was possible to calculate this price. And also shows a list of ads for laptops similar to yours.

The calculator has been working for a month and is constantly being improved. We will be grateful for the reasoned comments on the accuracy and correctness of the calculation.

What else has happened to the buboes during this time:

- Introduced a number of paid services. The list is still standard: highlighting the ad in color and raising it in the search results for 2 weeks - $ 3. We also charge a fee if a user publishes more than one ad at a time - each additional cost is $ 1. Selling laptops one by one is possible for free. Payments are accepted via SMS. Here we have a question for habra users - for what you would be willing to pay? Write in the comments. Moreover, paid services can be invented not only for sellers, but also for buyers.

- We connected 14 stores selling used laptops to the system. Now you can watch and compare their offers on one site, and not go shopping.

- We made a speech at the January StartupPoint in Moscow, where we were among the top five projects in Lynch. I take this opportunity to say hello and thanks to the organizers :)

- Received one offer to sell the project. Refused.

- Added cities of Ukraine. If you wish from other countries - write.

- Many small, but important improvements, about which it makes no sense to write separately. They mainly concern the improvement of the interface and especially navigation.

- The majority of offers which arrived from habrak-commentators to the previous post are implemented.
