I am very glad that habra people warmly greeted the first part of my report. Now there will be a post not absolutely characteristic for Habr, but it only at first sight.
I had to attend various conferences - scientific and not so much. But I never would have thought that the conference could be held in Las Vegas - in the capital of blackjack and other joys. I saw drunken conference participants who run away from playing reports to play roulette.
But on MIX, everything turned out to be pretty decent and organized. Three floors of geeks and designers, 6-8 reports at a time. It all works like a clock and everything is sober. :)
The way to the conference passes through the Venetian’s incredibly beautiful interiors.

Is this a geek conference about computers or an art museum ?!
Reports are important, but breakfast first!
On the sidelines there are several tables ms surface that can be touched.
Particularly musical participants of the conference are allowed to play Rock Band and, worst of all, sing! I tried to avoid this stand.

The organizers made a special room for backstage communication, so as not to be in the corridor, but on the couch to discuss what is happening. There is a special board where everyone wants to write where he is sitting and what he wants to talk about. I thought of writing that “an interface designer from Russia is sitting in a corner like this and is eager for communication,” but I was ashamed.
People sitting in the same room communicate via twitter! This is absurd, but fun.
And, of course, a huge casino on the first floor. In Las Vegas, there is no other way.
