Habra report # 1 with MIX 09 from Las Vegas almost live

Right now I am in Las Vegas at the MIX 09 conference and have an unearthly cosmic desire to share news and photos from the event through Habr. What's going on here? The conference is held in a very beautiful Venetian hotel (I did not see a more luxurious conference), participants came from all over the world.


The conference was opened by Bill Buxton, who talked about the role of sketches in industrial and interface design. As a designer, I was very pleased - design conferences are rare. Plus, until recently I did not believe in the "Design Conference from Microsoft." By the way, among the stufa that are given during registration was the book Sketching User Experiences .



Next, Scott Guthrie talked about what innovations from Microsoft await us in the web and interface industry.

Expression Blend 3 is coming and this is what awaits us there. I understand that this is wrong, but compatibility with Photoshop and Illustrator excites me the most. About Expression Design, unfortunately, did not say anything. (it's a pity)


The Blend interface is still incomprehensible and complex. He scares me. But the presentation showed very cool and beautiful things that were created in it.


They promised a tool for developing Silverlight for Mac, which makes me very happy. By the way, at the maykrosoftovskoy conference a lot of people with poppies, and the speakers now and then remember Apple.
