LG Electronics has announced the entry into the market of new BE08LU and BE08LS drives, each of which can record Blu-ray discs at the highest speed to date - 8x.
The internal model BE08LU is equipped with a Serial ATA interface, while the BH08LS can be connected to a PC via USB. The technical characteristics of both new items are identical: recording 25- and 50-GB discs at a speed of 8x, BD-RE - 2x, support for LightScribe technology and, of course, the ability to burn DVD and CD.
I would like to remind you that Blu-ray recorders with 8x recording support are already on the market. For example, LaCie d2 Blu-ray Professional, Pioneer BDR-S03J, Sony BWU-300S, IO Data BRD-SP8, several models from Buffalo.
