Images in articles

Good day.

I would like to raise the issue of posting.
Reading a topic about a site on Drupal , I noticed the inconvenience of small pictures (I have nothing against the author, just a topic for example).

In my opinion, with small images ( similar screenshots ), their meaning is lost: the content can not be disassembled, except that only a link to the sore picture.
')
I would like the pictures to be wide, well, let's say 600 pixels, then you can understand the meaning of the illustration without opening the big picture. I think the volume of the illustration will not increase much, but it will be more convenient to read - you will not need to constantly open the accompanying pictures along the way.
Or maybe better than the original size, and cropping up to 600 pixels?

What do you think? What image size is convenient in articles, in particular for screenshots? I would like to listen to reasoned opinions that can be taken into account when making topics.
